Aren’t they beautiful? I can almost guarantee you that no one knows what it is like to fall in love with an appliance until they have tried the 4.3 cu. ft. Duet® Front Load Washer with Precision Dispense Ultra and matching Dryer. When I was first notified that I would be test driving the new Whirlpool Duet Washer and Dryer I was immediately looking for a place to donate my old, basic top loading washer and dryer set. I have never owned a front loader, nor have I owned an HE so I was really excited. I was even more excited when I learned that I was getting a SMART Washer and Dryer that included it’s own Apps – it is one of the most essential features for a newbie like me. My old washer and dryer pretty much had one setting each – wash and dry. That’s it. Nothing fancy. If I wanted to wash a comforter, pillow, delicate, or any other “unusual” thing that wasn’t classified as “normal” I had to find an another method. “The built-in suite of Laundry Apps includes features like Stain Assist and Hints & Tips that give practical advice on stains and other everyday laundry questions.”
So, I think I was the very last person to receive their washer and dryer, but I have put it to work since it arrived. I think the amazing thing is I have to fight to try to start a load…not because I’m too lazy, but because EVERYONE in the family is doing the laundry now! The day the pair arrived I was at work and I made my son send me text messages with pictures. When I got home I ran upstairs to start a load but to my dismay (and pleasure) there were no dirty clothes anywhere to be found. Ethan, my son, had done all the laundry.

At the end of July, our old top loading Maytag gave up. With eight family members we do a lot of laundry! I ended up buying a top loading, no agitator Maytag Bravos. It has over 5 cu ft. capacity and washes the heck out of everything with no noise, no walking across the basement floor and no overflowing my drain! Laundry is fun again. We now no longer ever have dirty laundry. However, we often have laundry waiting to be folded. Some things never change.
I can relate to the folding – if you pan over about 5 feet in my photo there is a HUGE pile!
I wish my kids were old enough to do their own laundry! Then I could cut down from a load a day to one or two a week!!
