The Promise: JOHNSON’S® Baby

We love babies. And the last thing we want is for you to worry about safety. That’s our promise to you. After we heard that some moms were concerned about the ingredients in our products, we made the decision to stand up and change our product formulas—not because of safety, but for peace of mind.

There are not a lot of brands, in my opinion, that make promises like this and that take a stand to make an already safe product even safer.  The JOHNSON’S® Baby Family team took the Japanese legend that folding 1,000 origami cranes will result in a wish granted and a hope fulfilled and together with their scientists and their scientists’ families they created an origami stork mobile to show mom that her promise is their promise, too.  The video is so genuine and emotional.  I’ve probably watched it four times now.  What did you think about it?

With both my children I trusted  JOHNSON’S® Baby products.  Even today I still use  JOHNSON’S® Baby  oil and lotion.  My youngest (10 years old) still uses the shampoo.  It’s part of our family.

So what did they change?

  • To meet their 2013 Safety and Care Commitment they removed formaldehyde-releasing preservatives and reduce traces of 1,4 dioxane from all of our baby products, everywhere around the world.

  • For most of their new and improved baby products, they have removed parabens – ahead of their 2015 commitment as part of their promise to you. The new and improved products will continue to roll out onto retail shelves until they meet all of their commitments.
