Yesterday we celebrated my oldest son’s 18th birthday. Β When we got home my youngest son (7 years old) came to show me he just lost his 3rd baby tooth.
He looked straight at me and asked if I was the tooth fairy. What should I have said?
I told him I was. Do your kids still believe?

Aw! I remember when I was that age losing teeth-I held on to my ‘innocence’ until I was about 15 years old. LOL Call me gullible, but I just didn’t want to stop believing!
Kayla,
I had such a hard time because I wanted him to still believe but he was looking at me like it was a test and I’m not a very good liar. He was cute about it though and said, “thanks Mom”.
Oh how this makes me think of our tooth fairy pillow as a little girl! I hope he got bank from that little fairy! LOL π Also new follower!
Tara,
I only had a dollar…I hear some people leave $5 for a lost tooth. I used to get a quarter.
Wow what perfect timing. Aaron lost his first last night. This feels like a new chapter in my mommy life….. I don’t know if I am ready lol
My oldest is 6 and just lost his first tooth this year so he believes. But if he ever asks I would do the same as you.
all three of my kids still believe in the tooth fairy π
what a little sweetheart!! π
My 7 yr old still believes…..and I think my 10 year old may still LOL
There is most definitely still a tooth fairy. π
My 9, 7 and 5 year olds still believe, but my 10 year old knows the truth. Really, it is not something that the others ones have questioned as of yet.
My kids are too little for the tooth fairy just yet, but I think *I* always knew my mom was the tooth fairy. I didn’t care . .. I was getting money! π
LOL! I know, that is what I thought too π
I hope the tooth fairy was very generous! π Thank you for the linky!
very cute!!! love when they lose those front ones
Great pictures. If they ask you have to tell them.
The tooth fairy still visits my house π
Such a cute smile! I’m not sure I will admit to being the tooth fairy yet. I’m hoping all the mystery lasts a few more years yet!
Oh, I don’t know. I think I would tell him there is a tooth fairy. I just want them to believe longer!
My youngest believes, but my oldest (9) doesn’t
Kas
ooh hope the tooth fairy treated him well!
we give 50 cents to a dollar. . .depends on what we have laying around, not a lot of cash around here!
He is so stinking cute! Those eyelashes!
She does still believe! He looks so cute!
Nope my daughter is 8 and knows there isn’t a santa or tooth fairy or easter bunny, we just don’t make big deals of it, but we DO sneak trinkets under pillows, I save up all the gumball machine toys i randomly get and use those for teeth only. She knows its me and its still fun π
How exciting – that’s such a milestone!
Thats a hard one. I always ask what do you think and then play along with whatever they say!
Great picture! Our tooth fairy is a little forgetful, but we do have one π
There is a tooth fairy here!
How much is the tooth fairy leaving now a days? I can get rid of some teeth π
Well, if he’s gonna ask you point blank, lol. You can’t lie.
Maybe it will teach him not to ask things unless he really wants the answer π
Cute pictures! I hope the “tooth fairy” was good to him! I have to admit that I dread the days when my kids start losing their teeth…it just grosses me out for some reason. I think Daddy will have to be the tooth fairy in our house! π
The Tooth Fairy will always be real!! Always!! π
Cute smile!
So cute! I still believe! : ) When I get old and start to lose my teeth, I hope the Tooth Fairy still remembers me : )
Aww so cute…my fiance & I were just talking about I wonder when our little girl is going to lose a tooth!! She’s 5 and hasn’t lost one yet but I know it’s different times for each kid.
How cute! And I love when kids believe, it just reminds me of how magical being a kid was. I will do anything to make sure my daughter has a super magical filled childhood…and this includes the tooth fairy! And BTW he is absolutely handsome!
