Beauty Tip: Nexxus Color Assure Pre-Wash Primer
I spend a lot of money on highlights. Probably more than I should, but I love my hairdresser and he knows exactly what I want so I guess it’s worth it. Since I spend a lot of money getting my hair highlighted every six months or so I make sure I do whatever I can to keep it healthy and keep the color crisp. One of my new additions to my beauty routine involves Nexxus Pre-Wash Primer and the family of Color Assure products. Prior to being asked to try this for a couple months I had never heard of it before so it was worth trying. I’m happy to report that I’ve been able to tell a difference with my color this time around and my hair isn’t brittle on the ends like it has been in the past.

Incorporating the Pre-Wash Primer into my beauty routine was simple. Each morning before getting in the shower I simply brushed my hair and then applied 4 pumps into my hand (for me personally the recommended 5 – 7 pumps was a bit too much). I rubbed them together and started at the ends of my hair working up to the roots. I loved the smell and how it made my hair feel soft, but I never applied too much to make it greasy or over saturated. After applying the oil I simply took my shower and proceeded with washing and conditioning with the Color Assure shampoo and conditioner. I didn’t wait any particular length of time and there was nothing more than washing and shampooing to complete the process.
