I don’t own a fancy DSLR. I wish I did, but I don’t and I doubt I will any time soon. I want one, don’t get me wrong, but I just don’t see it happening since I’m really trying to be more careful with our money. Truth be told I don’t need a big fancy camera. The camera on the Windows Phone 8X by HTC is pretty phenomenal and although right now Instagram isn’t an option on the phone they have their own version of photo editing called Photo Enhancer that offers some great filters.
As a Verizon Ambassador I get to test out a bunch of different devices and with this being my first Windows Phone I went right to the main draw…the camera. I’ve taken photos on a bunch of devices from the iPhone to the best Androids on the market and the Windows Phone 8X by HTC stood up to each of them on it’s own. The clarity and sharpness are competitive and the Photo Enhancer makes it a rival for any other smartphone on the market.

Another favorite thing app for photos is PhotoFun where you can do just about anything from add filters to change faces and make galleries. It’s really fun, hence the name. I did a quick portrait of my husband to share…

This is really cool! I love a phone with a good camera! I have two cameras, but use my phone for pics because it’s always on me!
