Summer Skin Care and Anti-Aging Tips and Tricks by L’Occitane

Now that summer is here it’s as important as ever to take care of your skin.  Just because it is cloudy outside doesn’t mean you don’t need to worry about UVA rays.  The UVA rays that cause wrinkle and age-spots are there regardless if it is sunny or raining.  Anti-aging skincare is important if you want to stay young looking and healthy.  There are a ton of tips and tricks that can help you maintain healthy skin this summer – here are just a few:

Moisturize

  • While you are in the sun (or exposed to harmful rays) be sure to wear a good sun screen that protects you from UVA/UVB rays.  Even in indirect sunlight these damaging rays can cause wrinkles and age-spots.  In addition be sure the sunscreen you chose contains zinc oxide or titanium dioxide. Neither of these chemicals irritate nor get absorbed into sensitive skin therefore they make a powerful shield against sun exposure.
  • Use a good anti-aging skincare product such as Creme Divine by L’Occitane En Provence.
  • After exposure to sun be sure to use a good moisturizer to prevent peeling and discomfort.  I use shea butter based moisturizers.
  • Don’t forget about your lips.  Most people think of protecting their lips in the winter months, but keeping them hydrated and protected in the summer is just as important.  Look for an SPF containing chapstick.
  • Drink plenty of water!

L’Occitane products are among my favorites.

I find the following natural pimples remedies to have worked for me.

    – Reduce intake of meals that contains carbohydrates having a high GI (glycemic index).
    – Fresh fenugreek paste produced from its leaves.
    – A few drops of lime or fresh lemon juice mixed into one third of a normal cup of water.
    – Cucumber pulp placed onto the affected region for 15-20 minutes daily.

  3. This is really a good information for those people who love skin foods, if we can’t afford to some products we can use home remedies. at least we know that it is safe to use and has no negative reaction to our skin.
