Stealth Concealments: Disguising Cell Towers

Technology is a wonderful thing, but there is sometimes a price that comes along with it. One of the costs in my opinion are the increasing amount of cell towers being put up all over the country. I hate it when I am driving in the country and the view is obstructed by huge towers of metal in the sky. Why can’t they hide them or conceal them somehow? Well, they actually can.  The problem is that they don’t want to foot the bill.  However, YOU have the choice to conceal cell towers!  Did you know that?

From 2003 to 2013, cell site locations have nearly increased by 50%! Can you imagine what it going to happen in the next 10 years? It’s no surprise that 7 out of 10 homeowners are concerned with the appearance of the cell towers. If you think about it there are roughly 21 cell sites to every McDonalds in America, that’s insane! However, 91% of people say cell service is as important as deodorant and more important than TV and coffee, so it is no surprise to me.  But if cell towers are in your neighborhood/coming to a neighborhood near you, you have the choice to conceal it. You and the people of our community can learn more about Stealth Concealments and what they offer.

So what options do you have? How can you ensure that these cell towers don’t cause your home, property or neighborhood lose value? Contact Stealth Concealment and they can help you find the right thing that will work for you.  Sometimes private owners pay themselves for the camouflaging of cell towers, some times it is the company itself, but there are various options out there. You can ask community leaders to get involved and incorporate mandatory concealment into the zoning regulations as well.  There are many options!

We have seen some really beautiful towers popping up around us. I especially love the ones at the churches with the crosses and the HUGE flag poles! The one nearest us is located not too far from our lake.  It’s a huge flag on the tower and you can see it from our lake.  It makes a great landmark when you are out on a boat as it towers in the sky and makes it easier for navigation.  James uses it all the time to find his way home when he is out kayaking because our canal is hard to find through the reeds. I would much rather see a large American Flag any day over a bunch of metal in the sky!

Do you have unsightly cell towers in your neighborhood?

  1. In Mississippi about 20 minutes north of Jackson is a little town called Madison. You can’t see cell towers but you can see the eiffel tower, the washington monument and more. Their mayor (Mary Hawkins Butler, a family friend) wanted their tiny city to be as she says in her lovely southern drawl, beauuuuuuuutiful. and so it is.. check some of the architecture http://www.madisonthecity.com/citybydesign/index.html. I don’t miss seeing the big fugly cell towers when I am there at all.

They have frankenpines in the Adirondacks of New York. Cell towers disguised a very tall pine tree.
