Medieval Times Dinner Show in Orlando
In Orlando, it is apparently still okay to wear your armor to the dinner table. At Medieval Times, dinner is only a small portion of the fun. If you have always enjoyed the chivalrous attitude and honor-bound excitement of the Medieval era, then a visit to this awesome show is almost certainly necessary on your to-do list. The show is unique, the action is red hot and your food will make you feel as though you were in a four star restaurant.
It is all about the jousting
As you sit and feast upon the ultimate four course meal, you can watch the most legendary sporting event of all time….jousting! Two men will mount their mighty steeds and prepare to joust. As they scream towards one another and the horses gain speed, you will marvel at their skill and bravery. When the two men come together and one man is toppled, you will have your breath taken away.
Jousting is not the only thing to look forward to, either. The men will battle with maces, axes and various other weapons of the times. All for the honor of being a Knight.
The Bill of Fare
The tomato bisque was by far the best you will find around! You would think since the dining is done on such a grand scale that the food would be bland and “fair” but you will be feasting on a meal for fit for medieval royalty. The chicken was moist, the herb-roasted potato is flavorful but beware – this is entirely a finger food experience as there were no utensils in medieval times and they are true to the period.
What of the surroundings?
When you first enter the beautiful grounds known as Kissimmee Castle, you will first notice the moat and drawbridge that beckons you forward. As you enter the castle itself, you will begin to realize you are literally being taken back in time. Back to a time when Royalty ruled and men fought for their places in life. The place even has a village of cottages for you to tour, including some of the most interesting torture devices in any collection.
If you want a night of excitement that will never be forgotten, Medieval Times in Orlando is the place for you. Once you go, you will never want to leave.

Ok, so now you have really piqued my interest. Were men really jousting? Like real “jousting”? And you’ve mentioned they also battled using maces, axes and various other weapons, that sounds awfully dangerous… and fun! If I were living in or near Orlando, I would’ve visited that place without even thinking twice.
Yes, on horses but it is staged so it’s pretty safe.
It sounds like it would be great for kids.
