McDonald’s – Making The Right #Wholesome Choices

Sometimes making the right choice isn’t always easy.  I know the past two weeks has been a true testament to my vow to make #wholesome choices as part of McDonald’s challenge to me.  For instance, part of the challenge included a month free at LA Fitness, but did I take advantage of that? No.  I had good intentions and I actually drove by the gym about 10 times this month, but I never stopped.  Why?  I wish I could answer that.

My first attempt to go to the gym was halted by the fact that my sneakers (tennis shoes, whatever you call them) were too old.  So, instead of going to the gym, I went to the mall.  Granted, I got exercise walking store to store trying on shoes, but I walked away empty handed and frustrated.  The following day I decided my old tennis shoes would have to do, but on the way to the gym it started raining and by the time I got there it was an all out downpour.  Mission averted.

Each day turned into another excuse until finally my month of free membership was over and I hadn’t lived up to my goal of exercising more often at all.  I NEED TO MOVE!  I need to walk away from the computer and do something to elevate my heart rate.  I need Andrea Riggs to kick my butt.  Maybe I just need to follow her advice:

  • Determine a 30-day goal and use tracker to record your daily healthy lifestyle habits
  • Make nutrient-minded choices at McDonald’s and follow Andrea’s daily healthy meal plan
  • Perform Andrea’s 3-basic strength training exercises and alternate cardio sessions

What are some of the #Wholesome choices you are making?

  4. Hi Lisa I think the problem with starting and maintaining a workout routine at the gym is to get momentum. If you can just get it going and persevere after a couple of months you should start to see and feel definite results which will then fuel your motivation, then you won’t look back, that’s my personal experience.
