I’ve had the honor of working with Lands’ End a lot recently. I really like the company. I like their product line, their business practices, and their keen sense of social responsibility. Lands’ End is partnering with DonorsChoose.org to help teachers and students across the country by donating $1 toward art supplies for every new member of the Lands’ End Facebook community (June 3rd through June 6th).
Isn’t that amazing? I’m not sure how the schools are where you live, but this year they made so many budget cuts that we are going to be relying heavily on companies to pick up the slack. Many of our teachers have been laid off and they have cut back on athletic budgets as well. If it weren’t for organizations such as DonorsChoose.org our kids would be writing in cuneiform.
How can you help?
- Simply join the Lands’ End Facebook page: www.facebook.com/LandsEnd
- For each new Facebook community member Lands’ End will donate $1 towards art programs through DonorsChoose.org, up to $10,000
- Donations will be made for new community members through June 6th
- Join the conversation on their Facebook page, and encourage your community to do the same
