Celebrate the Release of Monsters University Blu-Ray Combo Pack with Monsters U Apples

With the release of Monsters University Blu-Ray Combo Pack today I thought we would celebrate with some fun Mike Wazowski  Apples.  Not only are these perfect for your Monsters U parties, but they make a great treat for Halloween as well.  Have you seen the movie?  It’s a great tale about two monsters, Mike Wazowski (voice of Billy Crystal) and Sulley (voice of John Goodman), and their time at college.  The adorable monsters start off as rivals and over time they slowly become best friends.  Mike is our favorite character.  He’s so adorable it’s hard to think of him as scary, but boy does he try!  The release of the high definition Blu-ray introduces hours of all-new bonus material, in-depth behind the scenes features, deleted scenes, the animated theatrical short “The Blue Umbrella” and much more.  It’s a cute animated story that you and your family will enjoy over and over.

Mike Wazowski Monsters U Apples

Ingredients:

• Granny Smith Apples
• Leaf Green Icing Color (we used Wilton paste)
• White candy melts
• Gummy eyes (find them now in your Halloween candy aisle)
• Black icing tube
• White icing tube
• Paper lollipop sticks

Directions:

In a double boiler or candy melting pot start melting your candy adding icing color slowly until the right color is achieved.  Put lollipop sticks into the apples.  Dip apples into the green melted chocolate and coat evenly.  Put in refrigerator for 20 minutes until set.

Once the candy hardens dab the backside of the gummy eye with icing and place on apple.  Draw mouth using the black and white icing tubes.

I can almost guarantee your kids will love feasting on these apples while enjoying the latest Monsters University on Blu-Ray!
