Amway’s NUTRILITE Weight Management – Week 1 #AmwayNutrilite

Well, here I am a couple years after vowing to lose weight and get down to 150 pounds.  How much have a lost in that time?  Nothing.  I weighed 222 on Sunday – the day before my official lifestyle change.  Yes, starting today I am challenging myself to be a Carb Reducer with NUTRILITE’S WEIGHT MANAGEMENT plan.  I have made a lot of changes over the past few months to get my body healthy and now my weight is my primary focus.

A few month ago I sent a DNA swab to Amway’s Nutrilite Weight Management team as part of a group of bloggers trying their product. We each got a report that revealed our biological tendencies that made it harder for each of us to lose weight.  To summarize, they tested our genes to reveal if our problem was mainly with carbs, fat, or both.  I already knew my main problem was with carbs, but the gene testing supported my suspicions.

Over the next three months I’m going to share my journey.  I’ll share with you information about the plan, what products I am using, what foods they are recommending and how my body is adjusting to it all.  Please check back every Monday for my updates…this is a journey I want to share with you!

Wellness Plan:

  • This week I will get at least 7 hours of sleep each night.
  • This week I will take my medication every day (high blood pressure, cholesterol, etc.)
  • This week I will follow my Weight Management Carb Reducer Plan as outlined by my plan.
  • This week I will MOVE at least 10 minutes a day.
  • This week I will work on my spiritual well-being as well.

So, what do you think about my plan?  Remember, I just had surgery not too long ago so I can’t do any rigorous exercise right now – but that isn’t an excuse not to move!  When making a new lifestyle choice what is the hardest part for you when you start?  For me it is staying on the plan and if I do slip I need to not use it as an excuse to continue those negative behaviors.

Disclosure:  I have been provided Nutrilite products as part of this series.  My results and opinions are my own.

  13. Way to go girl!! I am an IBO and I love our products. I really started to push myself this year too. My son is 2 and I have been a stay at home mom since he was 7 months old. I told myself that since I was home I would really work at getting into shape. But here I am over a year later in the same shape. Well almost… I have no idea how much weight I have lost cause I never weighed myself but all my jeans are too big and I’m able to keep up with my son better! I won’t lie and say I stick to a diet and excersize plan all the time. I still slip with my workouts and I am really bad at a diet. But the most important thing is to remember tomorrow is another day! My best advice is to set little goals. Don’t go out and buy a small dress as a goal to fit into down the road. Set goals like ” I will do a 10 minute workout everyday this week” then after a while of fulfilling your small goals you can work on bigger ones. My favorite reward is books. If my favorite author has a book coming out in a month I set a workout goal. If I reach my goal then I get to buy the book. If I don’t then I start over the next month and try again. Rewards are important too. Good luck to you!! God bless!

    • Katrina i love what you wrote,I will only add this & its for you! you said “my favorite author has a book coming out in a month I set a workout goal. If I reach my goal then I get to buy the book. If I don’t then I start over the next month and try again. Rewards are important too…” lol i hope you are talking about the book that is for weight management ? not the SO program in the business right …?

  14. Hey Lisa good luck, I am sure I am in the same boat. I am an IBO but I am new to all of this. Do you make all of your meals or are you able to supplement with Their foods?

    • I use their bars along with my meals, but right now I’m making a lot of the recipes they offer…and they are really good.

      • keep going girl I am a witness of a lady she was size 8 and within few months or close to a year she is now …. size 0 — yes “zero” i am not kidding, and very soon you will also be there where you wanna be.Amen

  15. Great Plan My friend. Keep Moving.. You can DO IT.

    May god bless you.

This all sounds good, but make sure you are enjoying some of it too. Don’t torture yourself to succeed. Eat fruits and stuff that you like, etc.
