This time of the year every penny counts and Kroger is offering quadruple fuel rewards points on most gift cards sold at their in-store kiosks. What if your Kroger doesn’t have a fuel station? I recently moved to an area where the Kroger had no fuel center and was totally bummed out until I realized that the Shell station honored my discount card. I get a discount of $0.10 every time I fill my tank (from points earned through purchases). When I can find a Kroger fuel center I can save up to $1 per gallon! Want to make this work in your favor? Purchase a Kroger gift card and earn quadruple points and then pay for your gas using the card. Brilliant!
How does it work?
Kroger’s holiday gift card promotion falls into the latter category. The rewards allow customers to save up to $0.10 per gallon on gas purchased at Shell, or up to $1 per gallon at Kroger fuel centers nationwide. The more points a customer accrues, the greater the rewards. For example, for every purchase of $50 in gift cards from Kroger’s Gift Card Mall, customers will receive 200 fuel points. Those 200 points can be redeemed for $0.10 off per gallon at two different fill-ups at the customer’s local Shell station, or $0.20 off per gallon at their local Kroger fuel center.
With the holiday parties coming up over the next month Kroger is the perfect solution for gift cards to retailers such as Macy’s, JCPenney, Sears, Starbucks, iTunes, Lowes, Gap and Old Navy, Chili’s and Best Buy, among many others. Some exclusions do apply, and the rewards offer may vary by market, so customers are encouraged to visit their local store for more information.
