Why We Follow Others: Women of Influence

Social media is a huge part of my life.  I’m on Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, and every other social networking site out there and I follow a lot of people.  I was asked recently to highlight a few people that I follow and to share with you all why I follow them, but this isn’t an easy task.  Have you ever thought about it before?  If you are in social media and you follow people, why do you follow them?

Influence.

Each person I follow influences me in some way.  The BlogFrog and the brands they work with recognize that powerful trait and that is the focus of the BlogFrog’s Influencer Circle.

Here are three women who influence me, meet Zippy, Rachel, and Trisha.

Zippy is the owner of Champagne Living and the Review Broads, but she is also one of my best friends.  Not only does she influence my purchasing decisions with her incredible fashion sense and ideas but she influences my business decisions as well.  Whenever I have a question about anything she is always there to help me figure it out.  She not only has great fashion sense, but she has a firm grasp on all things social media as well.  Zippy is that one person who is always there for me and without her I would be lost.

My friend Rachel is a work-a-holic.  Her blog’s header is an understatement to the amount of hats she really wears.  The most incredible part about Rachel is she does so much and all the while she is looking for ways to do more for everyone else.  Rachel has a way with inspiring and motivate others and she helps me get through the day. (She also has an adorable grandson that I love chatting with on Skype.)

When I think of Trisha from Mom Dot the term savvy business woman comes to mind.  Not only does she come up with some of the greatest ideas, such as Brandication, but she operates an awesome community through her site while chasing her adorable son “P” around the house.  Trisha does it all – business, blogging, community, kids, and more.  If that isn’t enough she is always looking for ways to give back to everyone else and to help other’s grow.  Trisha is a true influencer.
