I hate to “date” myself, but when I was in high school my grandma was so excited about seeing E.T. The Extra-Terrestrial in the theater that she paid for me to go see it too. I have to admit it is one of my all time favorite movies and it brings back warm fuzzy memories of my grandma to boot. Needless to say when I heard it was being released as part of the In Celebration of Universal Studios’ 100th Anniversary, I was pretty excited. For the first time ever on Blu-ray™ the classic Steven Spielberg film is digitally remastered for the 30th anniversary!
The Blu-ray™ Combo Pack With Blu-ray™, DVD, Digital Copy & UltraViolet™ was officially released on October 9, 2012 and I have to say, it is better than I remember it being in the theater 30 years ago. I loved sharing it with my son and will definitely cherish this for years to come. I particularly liked the bonus features (almost always my favorite part) that were included: Steven Spielberg & E.T., deleted scenes, a look back and the E.T. Reunion.
