Boys & Girls Clubs Day for Kids: September 15th #Day4Kids & One FREE Week at BGCA

Content and/or other value provided by our partner, BGCA.

The Boys & Girls Clubs of America (BGCA) has been around for a very long time.  For over 100 years they have been providing communities a place where their children can go to socialize, engage in various activities, learn and hang out.  The BGCA helps children be productive, caring, responsible adults – skills and traits learned through many of the programs offered at their clubs. Tomorrow, September 15, 2012 is the Boys & Girls Clubs Day for Kids a national celebration focusing on the importance of establishing stronger relationships between adults and youth. I think it would be great fun to do a parent/child potato sack race at the local Day for Kids event in my area.  Teaching parents and children to rely on each other and work together is a great message to send and it’s easily demonstrated in sack races – don’t you think?

This is your call to action!

  • serve as a role model by initiating active play;
  • listen and be supportive when young people need someone to talk to; and
  • celebrate Day for Kids in my community!
