What’s the top toys for boys this year? According to my 8 year old son’s Christmas Wish List it’s everything above. Don’t you just love how he included a game for his brother (he’s 19) on his own list? Not only was I able to find everything he wanted in the 2012 Toyland Wish List Book from Walmart but there was also a thing or two in the Toyland Tuesday ad this week. What’s “Toyland Tuesday”? It’s Walmart’s way of making the holiday more affordable by offering savings with new rollbacks on toys every Tuesday through Christmas.
Top Toys for Boys
Another thing I’m going to do is use the layaway offered. I plan on taking advantage of it this year, for sure. Since James’ high ticket item is the 20″ Mongoose Boys’ Mode 270 Bikefor $119 I think the layaway program will take some of the sting out of buying it for us. All toys priced under $15 qualify for Walmart’s layaway program. The best part is “if a customer puts a toy on layaway and Walmart rolls back the price later in the season, Walmart will honor the rolled-back price if it is in effect at the time of final payment.”
Walmart has a huge selection of Star Wars toys featured and James’ loves it all. He especially likes the Star Wars Lego Set (priced for a low $19.97. This is their rollback price (was $24.97) so that’s always a nice find.
If the price wasn’t already the lowest Walmart is matching competitor pricing during checkout for layaway products through its ad match policy anyway, so I would always be getting the best deal. Once you complete the layaway payments you can pick up the toys for Christmas and although there is a $5 layaway open fee once completed, customers will receive a full refund on a Walmart gift card.
