Well the answer is YES!
This guy has been knocking down our trash cans for some time now. Yesterday while sitting on the couch I saw him come out of a tree in our backyard and sneak around our deck. He eventually went up another tree off our deck where we cornered him and took pictures. Apparently raccoons do come out during the day.

I see them around the school I work at during the day. They are usually behind the parking lot hiding though
I don’t think I have, usually it isn’t a good sign if they are out during the day!

Be careful if he acts funny. You have to watch out for rabies.
I don’t think he will be back…but he was really huge…oh and James found a baby turtle yesterday on the road.

My parents live out kind of in the country and they used to get raccoons coming up on their porch to eat the cat food they left out for the stray cats around. I always had to check out the window before I went outside at nighttime, because there was no way I was going out there with it.
