You Got the Tickets – Now What? A Guide to A Sportsfan’s Weekend at the Game

Going to a big sport game often creates a lifetime of memories, but once you have the ticket, how can you  make your whole weekend a special experience? There is a lot to think about and consider in making your weekend one that you will remember for the rest of your life. What hotel do you stay in, where do you rent a car, how do you keep your weekend within your budget, and where do you spend the night before the game? There is a lot for you to evaluate in making your weekend the best of your life.

Budget

You have the tickets, and that means you already have an investment in this weekend, but you should take a look at your budget before going on this trip. There are different ways to spend your money on this trip based on your financial situation, which gives you flexibility. It’s up to you to be honest with yourself and see what you can afford. If you give yourself guidelines for your trip, it will make everything that much easier for you.

Car Rental

Once you have arrived at the city you will be watching your game at, there are some things that you will need to take care of. You will need transportation to get you around the city for your weekend of fun, and that means you should consider renting a car from a place like Alamo Car Rental. It’s something simple that makes your weekend of fun that much more convenient.

Hotel

You will also need to get a hotel room for the weekend. This is something you should take care of before you make the trip to your city, as they will be a high commodity. You might be unable to get a room if you don’t make reservations in advance. With having rented a car, you can take a hotel room further away from the city if needed, and just drive into the city on game day.

Night Before the Game

Another aspect to consider is how you want to spend your night before the game. Take a look at your budget and decide what is within your financial limits. If you have the room, you can go out for a nice supper at a restaurant, and talk sports with some of the local fans. If that’s not an option, there is always a fast food restaurant you can dine at.

Your weekend is meant to be one that you will remember for the rest of your life, and there are some steps you can take to make your experience that much more enjoyable and convenient. Do yourself a favor and set a budget and make a plan and schedule with what you expect to do before you get to the city. When it’s all said and done, in addition to this planning that makes your weekend more enjoyable, you still have the sports game you bought tickets for to look forward to.
