You Can Call Me Organized: Brother P-Touch Labeler

I wrote this review while participating in a campaign by Mom Central Consulting on behalf of Brother P-Touch and received a product sample to facilitate my review as well as a promotional item to thank me for my participation.

Earlier this month I wrote about how I was using the Brother P-Touch Labeler all around the my house, especially in my office. The labeler helped me get more organized since working at home was becoming such a challenge in the chaos I called my office.  I was able to set up a easy to read filing system that helped me stick to my editorial schedule, meetings, and other obligations better.  With everything labeled and easy to find I was a lot less stressed at “work”.

Once I completed the office and a couple other little spots around the house such as the tools.  I brought the label maker into the kitchen to label the pantry.  One of my biggest complaints is that no one ever helps me unpack and put away groceries because no one seems to know where things go.  Well, now there is no excuse.  Everything is organized and labeled clearly from the spices to the canned goods and the syrups & sauces.  I can even ask for help when cooking now because finding things is easier and putting away ingredients is as simple as finding the label.  Gotta love it!

My Labeling Future

This year I took on a whole new project with a huge garden.  Along with the garden I will be doing a lot of food preservation with canning, freezing, and dehydrating.  With the amount of work that goes along with preserving the garden we have (25 ft x 20 ft) I don’t think it would be possible to not use a labeler.  Not only do I have to label the bounty, but I have to label where the bounty is to be stored as well as shelf life and other valuable information.

We are also planning on setting up a new storage system in the back for our garden tools and other things we are using around the homestead.  All of this will be maintained and organized using labels as well.  It’s amazing how much a labeler can change you.  I was never this organized in my life and now I have a hard time walking past a shelf without wanting to label it’s contents.
