If you ever get a chance to explore Upstate New York in the Fall there is one place you don’t want to miss. Growing up it was an annual tradition to go to Eagle Mills Cider Company in Broadalbin, NY to drink fresh apple cider and eat their warm Apple Cider Donuts. If we were really lucky we headed there the weekend when they have their huge Arts & Crafts Show. We would spend hours discovering all the handmade goodies and jewelry knowing when we got to the end we could go into the old Cider press and sample the fresh Apple Cider as it came out for bottling. On the way home we would stop and pick apples. Just thinking about it makes me homesick.

I haven’t been there in over 20 years, but I still remember their 100 year old water wheel that powers their cider mill. I think it must be why there is no other cider in the world that tastes like Eagle Mills Cider. I’m not sure if you can still pick apples there, but I know it really doesn’t matter because the cider and fresh bakery are the real reasons to visit.  They also have a bunch of other fun things for the family to do while you are there such as:

• Eagle Mills Train Ride
• Gemstone Mining

• NEW- Fossil Dig
• Dino Dig
• Family Fun Park
• NEW-Nature Trail
• Ice Cream
and Fudge Shop
• NEW- Pedal Cart Track
