Three Tips to Prevent Back to School Mishaps #BacktoSchoolwithBSK

Going back to school is stressful enough for our kids without having to remember which backpack is theirs and which lunchbox has their food in it.  I can still feel the stress of trying to remember where my classroom was located and which seat was mine.  I don’t know how many times I got on the wrong bus to go home or grabbed the wrong jacket off the coat rack.  Elementary school is definitely where I started realizing how important a role memorization played in day to day life. With all that in mind I would like to recommend Bright Star Kids labeling products as one of my three tips to prevent back to school mishaps.

If you spend an hour now labeling your child’s clothes, books, school supplies, lunch box, and book bag you will save your child days of anguish worrying about which one is theirs.  Not only that, when they lose it (and they will) it’s easier to claim it from the Lost and Found.  You can use stick on labels for books, bags, lunchboxes and iron-on labels for clothing such as jackets.

The stick on labels are dishwasher safe, 100% waterproof and scratch resistant.  You can stick them virtually on anything and it will last but simply peel them off with no residue.  The iron-on labels are safe for washing and drying and will last as well.

When my oldest son was in first grade his bus drove by me one day after school without stopping.  You can only imagine how panic stricken I was and I immediately ran in to call the school.  Of course they were closed and told me to call transportation but I had to leave a voice message.  Although it was less than a couple minutes it seemed like an hour went by before they returned my call.  Apparently my son forgot to speak up when the bus driver drove by the house because he realized he grabbed the wrong backpack from school so he was going to ride back and get it.  After that incident I was religious about labeling his gear.

Don’t fall victim of the Lost and Found or the wrong book bag and take advantage of the back to school special from Bright Star Kids with simple online ordering and FREE shipping.  Leave a comment and claim your $5 off an order of $40 or more!

Three Tips to Prevent Back to School Mishaps:

  1. Before school starts back up bring your child to the school and show them their classroom.  Teach them how to find it coming from various directions (such as lunchroom and cafeteria).
  2. On the first day of school give the bus driver a note with your address, contact information, and photo of your child & house so that they can easily remember to drop your child off.
  3. Label everything using the same color labels so that they are easily spotted by your child.  It’s best to pick out the same icon to use as well.

Put a label on it! Kick off the school year right and prevent unnecessary mishaps. Reply below for $5 off your Bright Star Kids order.
