Harnessing the Power of Comfort Food with #Stouffers Mac and Cheese

Growing up I spent a lot of time at my grandmother’s house because we lived out in the boonies and she lived in town behind my high school. Well, that wasn’t the only reason. She also was an awesome grandma who loved spending time with me and we used to play Spite and Malice, Samba, Canasta, and a few other card games together. I loved it.  I can remember the nights when she would make me STOUFFER’S Chipped Beef on toast or Mac & Cheese and let me sit with a tray in front of the TV to watch Judge Wapner or Richard Dawson’s Family Feud. One thing for sure is that my grandma always made me feel loved and comforted. I miss her.

 As an adult, now that grandma isn’t around anymore I often think of her whenever I enjoy a STOUFFER’S Mac & Cheese. It’s one of my “turn to” comfort foods.  I know every time I make one I share the story with my kids about how my grandma use to treat me to these growing up when I spent the night. When I was told they were introducing some new single serving STOUFFER’S Mac & Cheese varieties I was somewhat skeptic, but I got the Garlic Parmesan Mac & Cheese or White Cheddar Mac & Cheese varieties to try. I figured since they were made with the same quality ingredients like real cheddar or mozzarella cheese and pasta freshly made from two simple ingredients – flour and water, they had to be equally as good.

STOUFFER’S has launched all-new STOUFFER’S Mac & Cheese varieties that bring a new twist on Mac & Cheese with unique, but familiar flavors. The White Cheddar Mac & Cheese taste very the same as the original. It may be somewhat more creamier than the original, but that might just be my memory failing.  Regardless, it’s definitely nothing like a boxed macaroni and cheese, this is a fresh shredded REAL cheese flavored dish. The Garlic Parmesan Mac & Cheese was equally as good, but definitely different from the original. I’m a huge fan of garlic so this was especially pleasing to me and you can’t go wrong with Parmesan!

One of my favorite things about STOUFFER’S  is that they are freshly made entrees and they taste that way too because they use quality ingredients. The fact that they are frozen and easily kept for when you need that comfort is a bonus that makes it convenient.

Great things happen when you step into and embrace your comfort zone – especially when STOUFFER’S entrees are involved. STOUFFER’S entrees bring bold, satisfying ingredients together for uncommonly delicious entrees. It’s the combination that lets you relax and enjoy your comfort zone. The comfort zone is where great meals happen with ease.
