This past month I did a lot of traveling and if you know anything about me you know I’m connected nearly 24/7 so the thought of going on vacation without talking to my friends and customers was unsettling. However, I learned that Skype has a mobile app that made staying connected a breeze and I was able to chat with my friends and participate in a couple conference calls and video chats with no problem on my Samsung Galaxy tablet and my iPad 2. However, I didn’t use the mobile app just for my vacation I also used it while at the grocery store to ask my son (he has Skype on his laptop) to check to see if we needed milk. I tried calling his cell but it was upstairs so I saw that he was signed into Skype and was able to ask him in quick and easily.
MomCentral did a survey with 1,200 moms about technology and Skype and came up with some pretty interesting results. For instance, 67% of the moms surveyed have used Skype in the past and I don’t find that surprising considering my Skype contact list has almost 200 people on it.
This next month I’m going to really step out of my comfort zone and try some of Skype’s other services such as Group Video Calls and I’m seriously considering getting an online number. I spend most of my time in front of the computer working and for me holding a house phone or cellphone to have a conversation with a PR rep, client, or friend is cumbersome. I have a hard time holding a phone and typing at the same time, but with Skype I have my hands free to use the keyboard and mouse. It’s the best tool ever!

So true that nowadays almost all the people who work online use the Skype to contact their family, because it is easy to use and there are many things we can do. well for me Skype is the best tool we can use connecting to other people.

Great review, and I totally agree, Skype is one of the most useful applications for mobile devices. I have been using it for years now, and I really enjoy it. And it can also save some money if you make your calls via skype instead of the gsm network.
