The Boxtroll Family Nite featuring Our Popcorn S’mores Recipe

Smores Popcorn Treats (1 of 3)

I raved for over a month when The Boxtrolls came out in theaters last year.  I even made our own Boxtroll named Light Bulb. Now The Boxtrolls has hit the shelves at Walmart and we celebrated last night with a #BoxtrollsFamilyNite featuring Pop-Secret Popcorn S’mores. You can pick up the 10ct Movie Theater Butter Popcorn or the Pop Secret 10ct Home-Style Popcorn at Walmart too, while supplies last. So, what better way is there to spend family time than to make a fun snack that everyone loves and then curl up in front of the television to watch a family movie like The Boxtrolls? I can’t think of any!

If you haven’t seen The Boxtrolls I don’t want to give too much away, but it’s the perfect movie for the family and it has some great teaching moments throughout to get you talking with your kids.  Some of the topics we came away with were being a better person, resisting peer pressure, creating value in things other than material objects or status, and making good choices.  Another great topic or conversation starter from The Boxtrolls is how spreading stories about others can have a snowball effect and cause pain and hurt.  Anyway, now owning The Boxtrolls on DVD we can watch it anytime and the more we do the more messages we find!

Now, if you want the most yummiest snack ever to eat while your family watches The Boxtrolls, be sure to try our Popcorn S’mores recipe below!
