“At Procter & Gamble (P&G), we are passionate about transforming lives with the power of clean water.”
When we think of P&G it’s easy to think of clean. For over 175 years we have relied on products such as Tide, Cascade, Pantene, Crest, and others to clean our clothes, dishes, and bodies but do we ever give thought to water? I was surprised to find out that contaminated water kills more children thank HIV/AIDS and malaria combined. That is one of the reasons why the scientists at P&G used the research behind laundry detergent to invent the P&G Purifier of Water, which packs the power of a water treatment plant into a packet the size of a tea bag. I recently got to try it out and watch first hand how it works. It was pretty amazing so I put my photos into a movie to share so you could see the demonstration yourself.
Through the Children’s Safe Drinking Water (CSDW) Program P&G has been providing clean drinking water for families since 2004 in over 75 countries through a network of more than 150 partners. I was amazed at how I was able to turn disgustingly dirty water into clean drinking water in less than 30 minutes. Imagine, CSDW has provided more than 9 billion liters of clean drinking water, and they are committed to delivering 15 billion liters of clean water by 2020.
I’ve seen videos about children who have no choice but to drink water that puts them at risk of diseases and viruses, but with CSDW donations these same children have a chance to grow up strong and healthy. Healthy children are able to attend school and get better educations and parents who have access to clean water can work and earn money to take care of their families. It’s a win, win!

One randomly selected reader will receive a P&G product basket (value of at least $50) and a $30 donation in their honor to provide clean water for a family in need for one year.
Donate to the program at csdw.org. A small amount makes a big difference. It costs about 10 cents to share a P&G packet with a family in a developing country, and each one provides enough drinking water for a family of five for an entire day.

I learned that P&G created a tablet that transforms dirty water to clean drinking water for more than ten years in over 75 countries.
I was so impressed to learn that a tiny packet could transform children’s water from muddy to clear. That is a wonderful thing they are doing and I would like to get the word out to everyone that I can.
I leaned that the tablets that P&G created has been used for more then 10 years in many many countries in the world that needs clean drinking water. It’s crazy I’ve never heard of these tablets before.
