There is just something about a well-written love story that Nicholas Sparks has seemed to master. I’m not sure which of his books is my favorite and they all equally translate to the big screen. I’ve read a lot of books that have been made into major motion pictures and nearly all of them seem to lose something in translation. However, that doesn’t happen with Nicholas Sparks and the newly released movie, The Choice, is sure to be no different.
Nicholas Sparks’ Hit Novel The Choice
The Choice’s theme of letting your heart decide is one that resonates with most young girls. When I was younger the romantic journey was one of the best parts of becoming a woman and there were many men out there I crossed paths with much like the leading man, Travis Shaw [Benjamin Walker], from the movie. Men who thought that relationships would put a wrench to their single lifestyles and who just couldn’t commit. There were also girls like Gabby Hollan [Teresa Palmer] who had their lives planned out and knew exactly how it was all going to turn out. It was rarely a time when these two people crossed paths and fell in love. This is how a love story unfolds and Nicholas Sparks is the master.
What choices have you made? Did they turn out to be a great love story?
