Meatloaf For People Who Hate Meatloaf Recipe

I don’t know about you, but I absolutely hate meatloaf. I always have. It tastes like someone threw everything they had in the fridge and mixed it into something that resembles dog food. I tasked myself with coming up with a recipe that wouldn’t make me gag and what I came up with turned out to be one of my families most favorite meals of all time.

Not Your Normal Meatloaf

Ingredients:

1 1/2 lbs. of ground beef (85% lean)

2 eggs

3/4 cup milk

1/2 cup seasoned bread crumbs

1/4 cup chopped onion

2 chopped garlic cloves

2 T. parsley

1 t. sage or thyme

Before Oven

Glaze:

1/4 c. catsup

2 T. brown sugar

1 t. yellow mustard

Glaze/Dipping Sauce

Add all ingredients in bowl and mix well. Put in 350 degree oven for 60 minutes. Mix glaze ingredients and put over meatloaf for the final 10 minutes.

Yum!

My family always requests I double the glaze for yummy dipping.  We always serve with mashed potatoes and corn on the cob.

I think you’ll love this recipe!

  5. I have always hated meatloaf but was lucky enough to be invited to Lisa’s for a meatloaf dinner. This is the best meatloaf ever, especially if you have extra glaze that you can add to your plate. My entire family went nuts over it.

    Nope. Still hate it.

My mom used to cook it all the time and we fought because I refuse to eat the putrid stuff.

Now I’m conditioned to hate it passionately and get angry whenever I see it.
