Sometimes I need to throw together sweet treats for my family that are quick and easy. Coming up with dessert ideas and dessert recipes isn’t exactly easy and personally, I get tired of the same old ice cream options. So what can you do without spending hours in the kitchen? How about Strawberry Shortcake with a twist? Marshmallow.
This simple dessert idea call for a couple simple ingredients you should already have in your kitchen and you can make enough sweet treats for the entire family for under $15!
- Mini Marshmallows
- Butter
- Strawberries
- Hershey’s® Milk Chocolate Syrup – $2.89
- Sara Lee® Original Pound Cake Slices – $3.79
Right now you can receive a FREE 17-24oz Hershey’s® Syrup when you buy any ONE (1) Sara Lee® Frozen Dessert item now thru 10/09/15 while supplies last at your neighborhood Publix (where I got mine).
What I love about this recipe is that you can make as little or as much as you need. It’s so simple and because the pieces of pound cake are wrapped individually you can just grab a slice, melt some marshmallows, drizzle some chocolate, top with some strawberries and your dessert masterpiece is ready to eat. You can make it look all fancy too for that special date night or if you are entertaining. You can even prepare them ahead of time to serve later. Since Sara Lee® is made with real, quality ingredients and Hershey’s® is genuine chocolate flavored syrup you know it’s going to taste good!
Ingredients
- 3 cups Mini marshmallows
- 3 T. Butter
- Strawberries
- Hershey's® Milke Chocolate Syrup
- Sara Lee® Original Pound Cake Slices
Instructions
- In a small saucepan melt butter.
- Add marshmallows and stir until melted.
- In the meantime, drizzle chocolate syrup on plate and place pound cake on plate.

- Enjoy!
