A normal week for our family is often chaotic. With our schedule changing day-to-day and week-to-week we don’t normally get a lot of family time where we are all together. Although I try to throw breakfast together in the morning more times than not a bowl of cereal is the norm. Everyone’s school and work schedules are so different. However, every Sunday morning we are normally all home together and I get to show my family I love them with heart shaped pancakes.
Showing my love for my family also means we make Hungry Jack Heart Shaped Pancakes with our favorite microwaveable syrup, Hungry Jack Original. Making heart shaped pancakes doesn’t have to be fancy and it doesn’t have to include special pans. We make our heart shaped pancakes by simply whipping up some Hungry Jack Buttermilk Pancake batter according to the package directions and pour the batter into a condiment squeeze bottle. We usually use the Buttermilk but sometimes when the boys want light, fluffy pancakes we use the Extra Light & Fluffy pancake mix.
In a hot skillet squeeze out the border to your heart shape and once it begins to set fill in the remaining batter and spread to the outside of your design. You can actually make all types of things from letters to hearts or other fun shapes. If you feel fancy you can even layer the batters to make designs in your pancakes.
