When I say ACTION! I mean…sex. Yes, you are reading it correctly, there is a new show that airs tonight at 10/9c on WEtv called Sex Box and it’s all about couples in crisis. Like traditional therapy they discuss their concerns with the expert therapists, but part of the treatment involves having sex on stage in front of a live studio audience in the Sex Box. This chamber is sound proof and camera free, but still the idea of having sex knowing that people know you are having sex has to be difficult.
Couples walk into the chamber looking nervous and anxious and come out with smiles, holding hands in nothing but a bathrobe. Something awesome is happening in there, that’s for sure.
Why sex?
Did you know that for the first 15 minutes following intimacy that your body floods with oxytocin and endorphins? These naturally occurring hormones have been scientifically proven to help enable people to open up and reveal the root of their problems. I kind of get the whole idea and the principal behind the Sex Box having a psychology degree and all. I’m pretty sure I couldn’t do it myself, but there are probably couples out there who have issues with intimacy and other relationship problems and this could be perfect for them. What do you do when passion slips from your relationship? Spicing it up in the bedroom is the answer for many of us, but there are those few that just need something more drastic and this is definitely that.
