HalloweCleanFaceOff

I always wanted to paint my face for Halloween when I was growing up but for whatever reason my parents never let me. I’m not sure if it was that they didn’t want to buy the supplies to do it or that my mom didn’t want to deal with trying to get it all off my face. This year I want to do something different so I have started trying different half face looks and so far, this one is my favorite. I’m not sure what it is but it’s fun. I decided to share my Halloween Makeup Half Face Tutorial with you along with an awesome tip on how to remove the Halloween makeup in under 2 minutes with Neutrogena Makeup Remover Cleansing Towelettes.

Halloween Make Up Tutorial (16 of 17)

I was really pleased with how it came out on my “dry run” so when we go trick-or-treating around the new neighborhood this year I’m sure to stand out. I’m not exactly sure what I’m going to wear yet though. I’m thinking of an oversized red, hooded cloak. Wouldn’t that be kind of neat? It’s almost like Twilight meets Day of the Dead meets anime. Every year we go out in the neighborhood before our big Halloween Bash starts at the house. This is our first year here so we want to make sure we do it extra BIG!

Can’t wait!

Halloween Makeup Half Face Removal

Now, all that took me about an hour to do. I used a black liquid eyeliner for the detail work with the black. I filled in a lot of the red with red lipstick on top of the red Halloween paint from the store. On some areas that weren’t black enough for me I even applied a little mascara. You would think after all that makeup I put on my face that it would take an hour to remove it all, but honestly it took less than a minute and a half with only ONE Neutrogena Makeup Remover Cleansing Towelette! Although I also bought the Neutrogena Ultra-Light Cleansing Oil, I didn’t even need it. This is how easy it was:

I found the Neutrogena Makeup Remover Cleansing Towelettes while I was at Walmart picking up the Halloween paint in the Health & Beauty section near the pharmacy. I figured these would be perfect for my Halloween makeup removal because they are gentle enough to use around your eyes and knowing my eyes were going to be caked with black this was important.  What I didn’t know until I looked closer was that they were safe for contact lens wearers too which was an extra bonus because I planned on wearing my red contacts. I also used a lot of waterproof mascara to darken the black and the towelette wiped it away.  Yes, I was able to take it all off with one towelette! After the removal there was no greasy build up or that gunky feeling you get with some cleansers. My face felt as good as when I started.

  1. I’m so impressed with this look and love that these towelettes take the makeup off so quickly. I have sensitive skin and too much rubbing and it makes my skin raw and angry. I’ll have to try these out! #client

  2. I LOVE how this Halloween makeup turned out. Neutrogena is definitely my go-to makeup remover brand (I love that it leaves me face clear and grease free!) <3

  3. I love Halloween think I might be a cat! Your face tutorial sounds so easy to do, I definitely agree about having gentle eye make-up remover wipes.

  4. Finding a quality makeup remover is exactly what I need because face paint can sometimes leave slight skin discoloration. Your makeup turned out great.

  5. I’m glad you’re talking about the removal. There are some Halloween faces I want to do but I have been afraid of the clean up afterwards.

  6. That really turned out well. The red contacts just add the perfect amount of creepy. Now you have me inspired. I’ve always wanted to do a sugar skull but honestly the removal scared me.

  8. Love this! So original too, although I’m not too good at art so I’m not sure mine would look quite so scary. It would probably be more of a mess! Happy Halloween.

  9. I’m not very creative when it comes to Halloween makeup. My girls are lucky enough to know that I can do a good kitty cat face.

  10. I’ve never tried to wear makeup for Halloween but your tutorial has me wanting to try. I bet I could scare the heebie jeebies out of the kids that come to my door trick – or – treating.

Those wipes look like the perfect removal solution but what I want to know is how do you happen to have a variety of color contacts? The makeup looks great by the way. Kudos….

  14. Your make up looked great. I can do other people, but I can never get make up on my own face. I use Neutrogena makeup remover towels every night, they’re fantastic.
