This past week I was blessed to be driving around a Toyota Prius C for part of the #ToyotaEarthWeek celebration and as part of the announcement that our local government, Orange County Florida has added 30 new Toyota Prius vehicles to the Orange County Property Appraiser‘s (OCPA) fleet. It was a great green week here at Life with Lisa and we kept the theme up all week by doing clean up in our local area of trash, planting some new foliage in our yard, and by enjoying time picking fresh berries from the local blueberry farm all while driving the incredibly green Toyota Prius.
The week kicked off with a nice dinner at the Rusty Spoon on Church Street near the Amway Center. We feasted on foods that were sourced by local farmers. There were many dishes we got to enjoy but for my main course I ordered the “Dirty South” – Canaveral Shrimp, Local Catch & Littleneck Clams in a Rich Shrimp-Peanut Broth, Garlicky Greens & Creamy Grits. It was simply perfect and it was great sitting with my fellow bloggers and the team at Toyota. There is not a better way to bond then over some great food!
The highlight of our week came at the Amway Center, where Rick Singh, Orange County Property Appraiser (OCPA) showcased the 30 new Toyota Prius vehicles his appraisers will be using to keep with the green theme. The event included Orlando Mayor Buddy Dyer, Chris Zaworski (Director for Enterprise Fleet Management), Britt Watty (Account Development Manager for Enterprise Fleet Management) and Thomas Hoang (District Training Manager for Southeast Toyota Distributors).

The idea that Orange County Property Appraiser’s new Prius will offer significantly better fuel economy and lower emissions can’t be argued. The week I had the Prius C I drove all over the city and never used more than half a tank with efficiency as good as nearly 50mpg! A trip to the store in town? 19¢!! I think the Prius C is a great vehicle and would highly suggest this to my son for his first vehicle!
