Anyone who knows me knows I am a lover of books. Granted, I do not get to read as much as I used to, but I still love books. I come from a family of book readers. My mom probably reads a novel a day. In addition to loving books I love companies that promote literacy and who are socially responsible. Why am I telling you this? Well, Chrysler has a program right now where they are donating 5 books to a school of your choice just for test driving the Chrysler Town & Country. Not only will they donate 5 books to the school of your choice, but they will donate an additional 5 books to a school in need. When all is said and done they are aiming at donating 150,000 books!

AT CHRYSLER, WE BELIEVE A BRIGHT FUTURE BEGINS WITH A SOLID EDUCATION FOR OUR CHILDREN. THAT’S WHY WE’RE DEDICATED TO PROMOTING LITERACY BY DONATING 150,000 SCHOLASTIC BOOKS TO SCHOOLS ACROSS THE COUNTRY.
Test drive an all-new 2011 Town & Country now through June 1st and we will donate five books to the school of your choice, plus an additional five books to a school in need.

As of this morning they have donated only 30 books so far, but I’m hoping a few of my readers will go out this weekend and help their cause. You can even track to see how many books have been donated in your area!
