It’s March, and that means our favorite college basketball teams are keeping us busy with great food, friends, and sports. The festivities never end in March. The games keep on coming and whether we are hosting friends at our home or hitting the sports bar to watch the game I am always prepared because March also means a month of heartburn for me if I don’t stock up on my favorite Pfizer products at Walmart, such as Nexium 24HR. It’s the month of Buffalo Style Chicken Wings and Candied Jalapeno and Cream Cheese Spread in my house and being prepared for spontaneity is how I survive the basketball watching season. Nexium 24HR is the #1 selling frequent heartburn brand* and since it’s just one pill a day, it’s a simple solution for whatever spicy foods I eat during game time.
What’s my favorite snack to enjoy during college basketball season? Candied Jalapeno and Cream Cheese Spread. It’s super quick to throw together, and it’s always a hit with the guys. I love how the sugar takes some of the heat out the jalapenos without taking away any of the flavors.
Candied Jalapeno and Cream Cheese Spread
- 12 oz. jar of sliced jalapenos
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 8 oz. cream cheese
- Drain jalapenos well. Pat dry with paper towels. Put back in the jar.
- Add 1/8 cup sugar to jar. Shake. Refrigerate as for up to 4 days, but at least 24 hours. Drain off liquid daily and add remaining sugar before serving.
- Spread cream cheese in a dish. Top with jalapenos.
- Spread on your favorite cracker.
