Waldorf Astoria Spa at Boca Raton Resort

Disclosure: I just recently returned from the Boca Raton Resort as a VIP guest of the resort to experience all that Boca Raton Resort has to offer. The Waldorf Astoria Spa treatment was one of my services I received. The opinions are strictly my own.

Come in and have a seat. Cuddle up on the couch in front of the fireplace or sit in one of the chaise lounge chairs to look out over the spa’s pool and outdoor waterfalls. There isn’t a bad spot in this grand foyer. Once you’ve slipped into your robe, grabbed a refreshing drink, this is where you wait for your therapist to come get you.

Welcome to the Waldorf Astoria Spa at the Boca Raton Resort and Club, named #1 Spa in the World in Condé Nast Traveler’s Readers’ Choice Awards.

Prior to your treatment I found out you can add on a famous Ritual Bath for only an additional $40. I wish I had read up on that prior to my massage as I would have loved to get one. My friend Melissa did it and she said it was AMAZING! It truly looks amazing and what a great state-of-mind to get into before a massage or facial.

Our signature prelude to any treatment, this 50-minute ritual provides an overall feeling of decadence and well-being.

I’m not sure exactly what the Ritual Bath consists of but I did see them prepped for the ladies complete with their own personal tubs and signs with their names. When I walked in the women were enjoying sorbet as they enjoyed the bubbles that came up to their necks. The treatment is 50 minutes and involves various showers and the hot tub as well. Really, I’m still kicking myself over it.

The service I reserved was a 50 minute Signature Massage. I was greeted in the Great Hall by Gary, a nice man with years of experience. I knew it the minute he put his hands on my body. Since I’m married to a man who not only is a Massage Therapist, but also taught Massage Therapy at a couple colleges in GA at one time or another I think I’m a good judge of what a massage should be like and this one did not disappoint. As a matter of fact I think this might have been the 2nd best massage I’ve ever had in my lifetime and that is a pretty big thing. He was great with his pressure, his communication, and his ability to recognize my problem areas without me telling him were impressive to say the least.

After my massage I went to enjoy some of the spa facilities including the Inhalation Room where I opened my sinuses to prepare myself for the Steam Room. I skipped the Sauna as I prefer moist heat rather than dry in the winter. I thought about going out to the private pool to enjoy a swim with hubby or perhaps relax under one of the private waterfall, but unfortunately it started raining so we just enjoyed a spa lunch before heading back to our room.

Boca Raton Resort Spa Lunch

The lunch at the spa does not disappoint and it felt great eating food that tasted so fresh and good for you after getting all those toxins massaged out of my body. I loved the nut appetizer with the cheese, local honey, roasted pistachios, almonds, and apricots. It was so good.  The tapas were out of this world too! I would almost come just for the food, but let’s face it who would ever want to miss out on some spoiling at the spa?

If you ever have the opportunity to experience the Waldorf Astoria Spa you will agree, it’s definitely #1!

Stop by the gift store when you leave and pick up a comfy robe or one of those awesome Frasier Fir candles!

  1. I seriously became more relaxed reading your review and looking at your photos. I have never enjoyed a relaxing soak in a private tub prior to a massage. I did enjoy a hot tub post a massage in Vail once and I highly recommend it. This place looks amazing. If I ever find myself near Boca, I would love to visit the Waldorf. What a treat.

I definitely would do the Ritual Bath. Looks like an elegant place.

  3. Wow this does look amazing. I would love to visit.

  4. I am a spa snob and this looks like I would enjoy it! Do they have an indoor pool too?
