Every summer we have a 4th of July bash. It’s a great time for family and friends to get together and celebrate our great country and to show our gratitude toward the troops. Every year I try to think of new ways to make the tables look festive and colorful, filled with red, white, and blue. This year I made table centerpieces featuring the Special Edition Skittles America Mix found at my local Dollar General store. I love the idea of having functional centerpieces. Not only do they look all-American and celebratory, but they taste great too featuring the new strawberry, blackberry, yumberry, raspberry, and wild berry flavors.
To put together your 4th of July Centerpieces for your celebration simply visit your local Dollar General and pick up a couple bags of the Special Edition American Mix Skittles®, some ribbon, and wine glasses. Gather the kids around the table and give them each a bag of Skittles® to sort through, dividing each of the colors. Once they are sorted start with adding blue, then white, and finally top off with the red Skittles®. Tie your ribbon around the base of your wine glass and add some colorful stickers if you like. This a great craft for the kids!
Visit your local Dollar General and pick up your 14 oz. bags of Skittles® candy!
