Zoom, Zoom, Zoom…My Week with the 2012 Mazda3 SKYACTIV

A couple weeks ago you may have noticed a few random tweets and Facebook posts about the 2012 Mazda3 I was driving around to test out.  Unfortunately he (yes, I called IT a he) had to go home last week, but it’s the time we spent together that I will never forget (insert sappy love song here).  As soon as I saw him he caught my eye.  He obviously took good care of himself and adorned himself with nothing but the best.  He was shiny, with the most sporty looking blue coat on that you have ever seen.  At night his floor boards put off a blue glow that fascinated my kids.  He was sleek and everything you could ever ask for aesthetically in a man car.

When I turned his key he purred like a kitten and when I gave him some gas he kept fuel economy in mind.  I love a man car that is economical, yet puts out where it’s needed… in performance.  The fuel economy of the Mazda3 averaged 34mpg in the city and I drove him hard for the week to make sure he could withstand my rambunctious family of 4.  My boys played with the windows, the sunroof, the stereo, and my husband put him through a test that only a man could pass.

The Mazda3 is a vehicle that we will consider when making our next purchase.

My Favorite Features

  • Steering wheel controls ease of use
  • Large trunk capacity
  • Bose stereo system
  • Bluetooth phone clarity
  • Blind spot monitoring

The one thing that stands out to me besides the SKUACTIV fuel economy is the safety features, namely the blind spot monitoring.  This feature in itself is the bomb!

The 2012 Mazda3 starts at $15,200 for the four door or the sportier looking model, 5-door for $19,300.

Disclosure:  Mazda provided me with the use of the Mazda3 free of charge in exchange for an honest review and feedback.

Oh! You’re time with him is over. I’m sure that you’ll gonna miss him. He’s so hot that I wish my car is like him. LOL! Great review by the way! 🙂
