Medical marijuana has been in the news a lot over the past few years. Some states of legalized marijuana for recreational use and others for medical use only. However, not all states have joined in the legalization, and to date, marijuana is still illegal under federal law. One of the benefits of all this public attention surrounding the drug is the great amount of research regarding the medical benefits of marijuana and its chemical components, such as Cannabidiol (otherwise known as CBD).
CBD is a natural constituent of hemp. It does not contain THC, and therefore there are no psychoactive effects from ingesting CBD. CBD is an alternative to medical marijuana, and it is said to have many of the same benefits without being illegal or causing impairment. I have not tried it yet, but I personally know many people who swear by them for various reasons. I thought I would share my top 5 reasons why I am going to try Diamond CBD.
There is so much going on in my life right now, that I have been breaking out in hives lately. Do not misunderstand, CBD Gummies are not going to get rid of my hives, but I need some help relaxing.
In a 2011 study, CBD was shown to reduce anxiety induced by simulated public speaking.

One of the most popular reasons why CBD Gummies are a great option is because they are portable and low-profile. If you are feeling stressed out all you got to do is pop a gummy in your mouth, and no one is the wiser. You can find different shapes and flavors as well as different strengths. These are just one type of edible CBD oil available, but for me, they are the most discrete option on the market.
Pain, Pain, Go Away
Aging sucks. If it isn’t gout in my big toe, it is arthritis in my lumbar spine or joint pain in my knees. By the end of the day, I rely on muscle relaxers and up until the big Opioid scare I was taking Vicodin as needed from my orthopedic surgeon to hold me over until I was able to have back surgery. Now, I rely on Celebrex and ibuprofen. I’ve been getting reports from other chronic pain sufferers and especially arthritis suffers that they have switched over to using CBD oil for joint pain. I ordered some from Diamond CBD and can’t wait to see if it works for me!
As I mentioned, there are a lot of studies centered around CBD for possible treatment for all types of ailments, including Diabetes. The National Institutes of Health report that cannabidiol (CBD) lowers the incidence of diabetes in young non-obese diabetes-prone (NOD) female mice. This is great news for the many people out there, including myself, who suffer from diabetes. Who knows what else they will find in their research. If nothing else, CBD oil might be a viable alternative for those who struggle with this horrible disease in the future.
Another reason I am pretty excited to try CBDs is that I cannot sleep. When I was younger, I could sleep through anything, and I could sleep forever. My parents used to make fun of me because on the weekends I could sleep until 2 or 3 in the afternoon. As I got into my 20s, I would go to bed after work and sleep through the night with no problem. However, fast forward to now and not only do I have the hardest time getting to sleep, but I cannot seem to stay asleep. CBD oil is an excellent option for those suffering from insomnia.
Mirror, Mirror, On the Wall
My skincare ritual is vital to me. I have spent a small fortune buying creams and soaps that hydrate and lotions and tinctures that treat adult acne and occasional breakouts, but I have been reading a lot about how CBD oils, lotions, and creams have really made a difference for a lot of women’s skin. Not only is it hydrating, but many swear by it for all other types of skin conditions including acne, rashes, eczema, psoriasis, and excessively dry skin.
Research done in 2009 which was funded by the National Institute of Health concluded that “it seems that the main physiological function of the cutaneous [skin] ECS [receptors] is to constitutively control the proper and well-balanced proliferation, differentiation and survival, as well as immune competence and/or tolerance, of skin cells. The disruption of this delicate balance might facilitate the development of multiple pathological conditions and diseases of the skin (e.g., acne, seborrhea, allergic dermatitis, itch and pain, psoriasis, hair growth disorders, systemic sclerosis, and cancer).”
My five reasons why I am going to try Diamond CBD are pretty legit, and if you search online, you will find there is so much more research about the benefits of CBD oils for children who suffer seizures and tons of other medical conditions. I only shared MY reasons why I am going to give Cannabidiols a try.
I would love to hear about your experience with CBD oils, and if you have any recommendations for me, please let me know. I am still new to this world of CBDs, so I have been reading a lot about different dosages, strengths, and other relevant factors when starting to use CBDs. I will be sure to update everyone on my social channels when I officially try them out in a couple weeks. I plan on trying the Box of the Month because it will give me a sampling of various products to test and multiple strengths.
In the meantime, I wanted to share an opportunity from Diamond CBD for a chance to win a cruise getaway for two that includes some CBD goodies as well!
