Summer Parties are the BOMB POP at The Samples
It was our last weekend of summer before we start preparing to go back to school so I let my son invite over a group of friends for a BOMB POP party. When I was little I don’t think you could buy them in the stores. It was a treat that only the sound of that bell ringing from down the street could only supply. I used to spend 25 cents on the hot afternoons for a Bomb Pop. Not only were they the biggest of all the ice cream treats from the ice cream man, but they were the most refreshing. I do believe they called me the Bomb Pop lady when I was little. I have great childhood memories tied to Bomb Pops and I wanted to make sure my son does too.
Baseball, Hot Dogs, and Bomb Pops!
Our end of year party had a baseball theme. Thanks to Bomb Pop for providing the fun games, swag, coupons, and Bomb Pops! We grilled hot dogs on the grill while the boys played Home Run Toss for Bomb Pops. Everytime one of them score a home run they got to choose which flavor they wanted. It was pretty fun actually and a few of the adults decided to join in as well. I was pretty excited to see the new flavors too and to find out they had a Sugar-Free option for those of us who are watching our waste line or just don’t want our kids having too much sugar.

My son and his dad both loved the Sour Wower. The sourness of the three flavors (grape, green apple, and blue raspberry) blended together to make for some serious puckering! Although I will always be an Original girl I enjoyed the Hawaiian Punch flavors of Fruit Juicy Red®, Orange Ocean® and Green Berry Rush®. The Hawaiian Punch flavors were the crowds favorite and were gone almost immediately. Have no fear though, you will still find the cherry, lime, and blue raspberry flavors of the Original available as well (including in Sugar Free).
We used to LOVE Bomb Pops. Now that there aren’t any kids in the house, I don’t buy them. Think I’ll change that. It’s summer, it’s hot out & they’re “da bomb”

We love Bomb Pops! It ain’t summer without ’em! 🙂 I’ve not tried the Sour Wower, yet, but I bet I would like them, since I like sour things. 🙂
Oh fun! Bomb Pops always make me think of the ice cream man… the ice cream man makes me think of summer at the beach house…. summer at the beach house makes me think of my childhood…. thinking of my childhood makes me think of my kids’ childhood…. thinking of my kids’ childhood makes me think of sticky faces…. thinking of sticky faces makes me think of ice cream melting… ice cream melting makes me think of Bomb Pops… Bomb Pops make me think of… 😉

What a fun way to end the summer! I love that they have a special memory for you as well. I grew up on a private street in the country, so we never got to enjoy a special treat from the ice cream man.
They always remind me of the summer treat that gives you the biggest one for the money. They put other pops to shame.
