This summer we have already done quite a bit of traveling and we have a bunch more coming up shortly. The 15 day trip last month was a family trip so staying in touch with the kids and my spouse weren’t a problem. I did, however, miss out on my daily call to my mom quite a bit and that’s why I decided to upgrade my Skype to the Premium plan with my own Online Number. Now, no matter where I am I can use my online number to reach out to my mom, my other family and friends, and also my clients.
I spend a lot of time in front of my computer, probably much more than the average person – even on vacation and when traveling for business. Skype Premium makes sure I don’t miss anything important with functions such as group video and group screen share (this is great for training clients), but the thing I like best is FREE unlimited calling. It is so easy for me to work and talk at the same time with Skype because there is no phone to hold or worry about – everything is right here in front of me for easy access.
While in Florida recently I was able to call my mother via Skype and share live video feed of my kids playing on the beach. It was pretty amazing to share that with my mom. With Skype she doesn’t have to miss out on my kids growing up even though she lives thousands of miles away. More importantly I don’t have to worry about her either since I can see her “on demand” with Skype.
