What Does Your Sleep Position Say About You?

Have you ever wondered what your sleep position means? According to several sources on the internet you can tell a lot about a person by how they sleep.  Not whether or not they sleep a long time or not at all, but the position in which they tend to sleep.  I know that I personally sleep in a semi-fetal position with my butt facing my husband.  What does that mean?  Well, apparently it means that both my husband and I are sexually and sensuously bonded, but enjoy our independence.  The fact that I choose the fetal position, as does 41% of the 1,000 polled, supports the notion that I’m tough on the outside, but soft on the inside.

Do you spoon with your significant other?  According to research that implies one is showing dominance over the other.  Or perhaps you sleep like a “log”, on your side with your arms down by your sides.  If so research says you are probably easy going, social, and trusting of strangers and may even be gullible. Personally, I’m not sure I buy all of that non-sense about position and personality, but I do believe sleep is important.

Unlike me who has sleep apnea and a mild form of narcolepsy my husband has insomnia.  The man sleeps like crap to be blunt. Whereas I can sleep 12 hours straight with no problem he has a hard time getting 5 uninterrupted hours.  I can’t tell you the number of times I have gotten up in the middle of the night only to find him soaking in the bath or watching a movie.  I know since we have gotten our St. Bart’s Memory Foam Mattress he has been sleeping much better but there is always room for improvement, so hopefully this pillow will be the answer.
