Recipe: #RocktheGauc Tuna Melt Sandwich featuring Wholly Guacamole®

 

Our family likes avocados. We also like tuna sandwiches, but we LOVE tuna sandwiches with Wholly Guacamole®! If you are looking to liven up your tuna we invite you to try this delicious tuna melt.

If you are looking for a way to incorporate veggies into your child’s diet without him/her noticing this recipe features four different vegetables that blend together perfectly for those picky little ones! Looking for flexibility?  Substitute the tuna with canned chicken!

Ingredients

  • 1 small can tuna
  • 2 T. chopped onion
  • 1 T. chopped celery
  • 2 t. chopped dill weed
  • 1/2 c. mayo
  • black pepper
  • sliced American cheese
  • sliced red bell pepper
  • bread
  • Wholly Guacamole (Organic or Spicy) 

 

Directions

Mix in a small bowl the tuna, onion, celery, dill weed, mayo and black pepper.  Melt a piece of American cheese on each piece of bread, top with tuna mixture, layer sliced red bell pepper and top with your choice of Wholly Guacamole for a tuna salad that will #RocktheGauc!
