Ralph Lauren’s Pink Pony Fund

I love companies that have a focus on social responsibility.  I’m happy to announce that I am the Mombassador of one such company, Ralph Lauren.  In honor of National Breast Cancer Awareness month (October) Ralph Lauren is donating 10% of all sales of their Pink Pony line to the Pink Pony Fund and they are also hosting a Charity Auction.  The monies raised will help support programs for early diagnosis, education, treatment and research of breast cancer and is dedicated to bringing patient navigation and quality cancer care to medically underserved communities.  Why does that mean so much to me?

My mom had breast cancer in 2001.  I remember the day she told me.  I was a thousand miles away and it felt like a million.  She was stronger than I was going through treatment.  She was stronger than I was going through recovery.  My mom had the best attitude and the most positive outlook on the outcome of treatment.  She was right.  Today she is 9 years cancer free and I am so thankful for it everyday.  Although I love companies that support charities, breast cancer charities holds a special place in my heart.

If you or someone you know is interested in learning more about the Charity Auction, please check it out before it ends October 21st.

Disclosure: I am a participant in a Mom Central Consulting campaign for Ralph Lauren and have received various Ralph Lauren products as part of my participation.

I also like companies that promote breast cancer awareness since my wife is a survivor as well.
