Neighborhood Toy Store Day is Saturday – Shop Local #toystoreday #localtoystore #shoplocal

Tomorrow is Neighborhood Toy Store Day, November 10, 2012.  What does that mean for you?  It’s the beginning of the holiday shopping season where shoppers are encouraged to shop local.  There is nothing more fun than shopping for toys, but what makes this experience even more fun is when you support your local toy store.  There is just something about going to a store that specializes in toys.  It makes you feel like a kid again!

American Specialty Toy Retailing Association (ASTRA) highlights some great stores around the country that are hosting in store events.  For my Atlanta crew here are a couple great choices:

Why Shop Local

  1. Local character and prosperity
Your community’s local character and prosperity thrive when you support its unique and diverse locally owned businesses.
  2. Community well-being
Local businesses foster community well-being by building strong neighborhoods, sustaining communities, and contributing more to local causes.
  3. Local decision-making
Local ownership means local decision making by people who live in the community and share in the effect of those decisions.
