Disney’s Magic Kingdom is a great place to celebrate the holidays. This time of year, the park is transformed into a holiday wonderland. Mickeys Very Merry Christmas Party brings the season to life with singing, dancing, parades, snow, fireworks and more. During the stage show, you’ll enjoy an amazing live performance including your most beloved Disney characters and even Santa. Meet and greets are available in several locations and the holiday parade is incredible. Dining opportunities abound, and you can end the night with a bang by catching the Holiday Wishes fireworks spectacular. If you’re looking for a magical experience look no further.
Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party is held on select evenings through December. Separate theme park admission is required. See Disney for details. During those nights the park is cleared of all but partygoers. Shortly afterward Mickey and his friends don their most festive attire and put on an incredible show. It’s a real yuletide treat the whole family can enjoy.
Through the night Cinderella’s Castle is brought to life with glowing lights and special effects. Watching the colors transform is mesmerizing. The way the light reflects off the water makes the experience even more magical. When its time for the fireworks show there’s no better place to be. It’s the perfect backdrop for photos of you and the people you love most.
The holiday parade is an incredible experience. If you can get into position ahead of time you come almost face to face with Mickey and everyone else. The holiday parade is an extremely popular event that is wonderful to experience from a distance and becomes even more magical the closer you get to the action. The trick is to find out what areas will be roped off ahead of time and get there early. Ask a cast member and they’ll point you in the right direction.
Disney’s Magic Kingdom is loaded with all kinds of holiday treats and eats. Some restaurants require reservations so plan accordingly. If you didn’t get a chance don’t worry too much. You can always find something to eat. Dining packages are available as well as special seating for events. Whether you are craving a meal or satiating a sweet tooth there are enough options to jingle everyone’s bells.
The holiday season is huge at Walt Disney World. Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party is a celebration you really don’t want to miss. There’s no better way to get into the Christmas spirit. I wasn’t feeling it at all until I went to Magic Kingdom Park. As soon as I arrived my heart began to fill with holiday cheer and I’ve been in the Christmas spirit ever since!
