Join Me and Take The Special K Challenge – New Year, New You

I can’t really comment too much on 2011.  It is a year I want to put behind me forever.  This year, 2012, I’m doing things differently.  I want to be healthy.  I am joining thousands of men and women and taking the Special K Challenge.  January 2nd was National Weigh-In Day and I am inviting you to step on the scale with me today if you haven’t already.  I am a couple days late, but it isn’t too late to join in the challenge!  I would love it if you could join me and thousands around the world even if we missed the official kick off date.

Right now I’m weighing in at 226 lbs, my goal weight is to be under 200 lbs in 2 months, but in the next two weeks I vow to lose 6 lbs. What positive change am I hoping to gain by taking the 2 week challenge?  I am hoping to gain confidence that I can do the long haul and become a healthier weight.

Did you know?

Most women typically start (or re-start) their weight loss plans at the New Year.

  • The New Year was the number one moment in time in which women said that they plan to start or re-start a weight management plan (67 percent). This was followed by spring (57 percent) and preparing for a special event (49 percent).
  • The Special K brand has marked January 2, 2012 as National Weigh-In Day, inviting women to “weigh in” on the conversation of weight management via Facebook and Twitter (@SpecialKUS).

To join me on this journey you can set up your entire challenge here.  I’ve purchased all the food and I’m so excited to get started.  Here is what today looked like for me:

The Special K Challenge:  A simple, great-tasting way to lose up to six pounds in two weeks.

Disclosure:  I am a part of a team of bloggers who are taking the Special K Challenge through The Motherhood.  We received a stipend and free product for our participation.  All opinions and results are my own and honest.  (Consult your physician before starting any diet or exercise program.  Average weight loss when replacing meals with two cereal meals is 4.8 pounds.  Weight loss may vary. Average waist circumference reduction when replacing meals with two cereal meals is 1.3 inches.)
