Hot Wheels Nitro Speeders Review & Giveaway

About a month ago James got the most awesome package in the mail – it was from Hot Wheels and featured their new Nitro Speeders.  Like most boys James loves anything that goes fast and has been a collector of Hot Wheels since he was 3 years old.  Another passion he has is remote controlled vehicles whether it be a truck, car, or tank – he loves being in control of something fast.  I wouldn’t doubt it if he became a race car driver.  Anyway, the other part about James is that he can lose anything and not only can he lose things, he can break them too.  With all this in mind here is what we thought of the Nitro Speeders from Hot Wheels.

My point of view:

This thing is so small James will break it or lose it in less than a week.

If he doesn’t lose it or break it himself someone is bound to step on it as he drives it all over the house and between our feet.

The parts sure look delicate…

James’ point of view:

Not only did he warn me about playing with it (because it can break easily he said), he wouldn’t let me touch it.

When the car is charging I am not allowed to close the case or it will smash it (that’s what he told me).

This is the fastest race car he ever owned (again, his words).

He wants more.

James’ has had his Nitro Speeder for over a month now (or just at a month) and he hasn’t broken it.  He has been very careful with it, but he doesn’t play with it as much now as he did when he first got it.  He drove me nuts at first but now the novelty has wore off.  Don’t get me wrong, he still loves how fast it is and that he can operate it in “stealth mode” since it’s so small and sneaky, but he doesn’t have anyone to play with him and now he gets bored.  I believe if I bought another one the Nitro Speeder would rank high on the play list again.

I definitely wouldn’t recommend this to a child who doesn’t do nice with small, fragile toys.  You can purchase this Hot Wheels RC Nitro Speeders at Amazon.com for $27.99.
