Living in Florida gives us the luxury of enjoying colorful and flavorful foods even during the winter months. Florida Farmers and fisherman keep our grocery stores stocked with fresh produce and seafood throughout the year. That’s why I like to support them by purchasing foods wearing the Fresh From Florida Label. No matter the season I can always count on Fresh From Florida to provide me with the freshest ingredients for my recipes. Whether it’s a sit-down meal, quick fix, or snack they always have me covered.
Fresh From Florida’s website is loaded with agricultural information for businesses and consumers. I check it at least a few times a month to see what crops are in season, find community farmers markets, and even seafood festivals. I’ve found a lot of great places to get grub on freshfromflorida.com. They also have an amazing list of Florida wineries and vineyards, too. This site is an incredible resource that is loaded with all sorts of useful and fun information.
Fresh From Florida’s recipe page makes meal planning easy. On it, you can find recipes for starters, entrees, sides, seafood, desserts, and even beverages. When I don’t know what I want for dinner it never takes me long to decide on something thanks to Chef Justin’s amazing ideas and incredible pictures. I can’t even think about looking at the page without getting hungry.
My favorite food is seafood and Florida is bountiful year-round. I never have to look far for crab, scallops, oysters, lobster, or any of my favorites. Because the climate is so mild, fresh vegetables are always plentiful. Where else can you find fresh tomatoes, oranges, strawberries, in the winter months? Florida’s growing season is incredible and right now our strawberries are in season. We never miss a visit to Plant City for our annual strawberry festival. Fresh shellfish is always available year round and Fresh From Florida can show you some amazing things to do with it. Check out Fresh From Florida and learn how to take full advantage of the bounty that is available to you.
