It isn’t really just for photographers or videographers, it is for anyone who is looking for rugged storage on the go. The SanDisk Extreme 1TB External USB 3.1 Gen 2 Drive found at Best Buy is everything you could ask for that fits in the palm of your hand.
Good things come in small packages
We received the SanDisk Extreme 1TB External USB 3.1 Gen 2 Drive a few weeks ago and we were able to test it out in the field. Hubby and I went on a hike on one of the local trails here and I used my carbineer to clip it on my shorts. The specs boast that it’s shock-resistant, featuring a solid-state core and that it is rugged enough to withstand the outdoors. It really did live up to the expectations considering we got caught in one of Florida’s famous thunderstorms. The SanDisk has an IP55 rating and it withstood the rain like a pro. It’s also dust-resistant, which is a bonus.
Although it comes in various sizes, the 1TB storage capacity is perfect for our needs and provides plenty of space to store our media files on the go. It worked out great for us because we love taking photos and the Extreme 1TB External USB 3.1 Gen 2 Drive allows us to save and edit high-res photos and videos on the go. It also comes with a USB Type-C to Type-C cable and a Type-C to Type-A adapter for connecting to different devices. The quick response when updating files is great as it features up to 550MB/sec. read speeds.
